Dia 115 - Sunday April 3, 2011: Around Mendoza

The drive to the Uco valley, neighboring Mendoza valley, with the Andes on the right was quite scenic. We visited Bodega Atamisque to play its 18-hole 3-par course. It was a fun course of 9 greens and 18 tee areas. The setting was gorgeous and the fragrances from the winery were intoxicating. Pablo, the pro, introduced us to the owner – A retired Belgian, now Argentine, whose company owns Hotel Sofitel. We had a lively economics and politics chat.

Our new upscale boutique hotel, Adalgisa, has its own lovely vineyard and winery. We had another fine dinner in a nearby restaurant.

We truly enjoyed the Mendoza area.
