The drive had some low points that in retrospect were quite amusing. Finding one’s way in Mexico is an adventure. Signs didn’t work, GPS didn’t work, the maps didn’t work without dead reckoning. We struggled to find our way out of Morelia; the drive on the Cuota was magnificent as usual; Mexico DF threw us for a loop as feared (we covered NE DF to its NW quadrant and then all the way through to its SW – all in a slow crawl.) We were sightseeing from the road.
The last challenge was finding our finely crafted Inn in Cuernavaca– Sanctuary and fine dinner. One joyous feeling was when we found out we were inadvertently on our target route in CV Centro 1 km away.
