Puerto Vallarta provided good accommodations & food, but otherwise defeated our golf mission and kicked our butts on the way out. My dear brother, The Duck, is one slow driver but got pulled over for going 40 km in a 25 km zone and expertly worked over for a mordita.
The drive through the jungle mountains and farmlands, and watching the flow of rural Mexico were exquisite. Of note were the times we emerged over mountain passes to see vast basins filled with palms or other trees.
We had a noteworthy mariscos for lunch from a nice open-air roadside restaurant. The flavors of the ceviche, caldo 7 mares & shrimp Diablo were different from any I had before. Dinner at the gourmet restaurant of Grand Bay Hotel Isla Navidad resort was truly gourmet and creative. We can’t go on eating like this.
27 holes of golf tomorrow so that we meet our 2 round per week minimum!
