I went crazy taking pictures of the beautiful flowers at the Botanical Garden and there was a lot more. All our house plants, palm trees, medicinal herbs, etc. are on steroids. Our guide was passionate about the ecosystem of the tropical forests and most informative.
The border crossing into Panama was the usual pandemonium, including the lady handling our paperwork going on a 45 minute lunch break right in the middle of handling our papers. It took about 1 ½ hours to cross. Then there was a deluge. At times it was impossible to see through the windshield. We reached Boquete in the mid afternoon and checked into Panamonte Inn & spa. Boquete is one of the favorite mountain resort areas for Panamanians, though most of the guests here are English speaking due to the pricing at the Inn. Oh, did it rain all night...
