Day 52: Road trip from Sincelejo to Medellin - Wednesday December 29, 2010

Sincelejo is a working town that doesn’t have much for tourists. We drove through town by 9. The countryside was magnificent. Highway 25 is usually a 2-lane road. Passing all the trucks and cars was challenging, especially since we had a 9,000-foot winding mountain elevation change. The effects of the recent inundations in the lowlands around the rivers had largely subsided. The mountain road damage from landslides was mostly repaired already. Enjoy the pictures from the road.

We are already enjoying our stay in Medellin. Our hosts took us to see the impressive Christmas lights. Beverly Hills can certainly learn from Medellin. Dinner was lovely.
