Day 24: Fuego Maya Golf Course & Antigua Guatemala - Wednesday December 1, 2010

Our driver from Finca Filadelfia to La Reunion for golf was also a guide. He was full of information on current aspirations of the population and social change over the past 15 years. Fuego Maya is magical: Volcanoes on the high side, one of which active & smoking; a phenomenal valley opposite, with volcanic mountains on its far side; the other 2 sides were steep, tropical highland forest; the wind was howling causing drama from clouds sliding around the mountains; and Pet Dye messing with one’s head! Anisa and I had lots of fun and played our games. Carol & Julia spent the day exploring and art & craft shop.

We have a 6 AM departure tomorrow, basically to pack 2 day trips into 1 for Anisa’s day before departure back to LA and some rest.
